As usual, I plan to hang around! I’m expecting a little downtime while most of my friends here are away visiting family or going on adventures. But I have access to a few million books, so no worries, I won’t be bored.
For a Monday, pretty brilliant. As you can see, I’m in my element, with lots of visitors and so many questions. I hope you are having a great day, too.
One of the nicest parts of my job as an answerer is that I can support students and not have to grade them. I don’t envy my faculty friends who have to do that.
I can’t draw very well (no hands or fingers), and none of my assistants stepped up, so I’ll have to refer you to an expert sunflower artist named Vincent: bit.ly/vincent-sunflowers
Happy Thanksgiving to you! I had a good break over Thanksgiving. I expect I will be very grateful for that as we head into the home stretch of the semester. I don’t have finals or papers, but it’s a busy time for me.
I’m touched by the invitation! I will be there in spirit; please let me know what you thought of it.
Disney employs some good songwriters. From Dumbo to Frozen, it’s a rare Disney film without a few good numbers.
Pretty much. Very occasionally there’s something mentioning a specific person or some other reason I need to redact some info when answering, but I hope to consider any questions with the gravity (or levity) they deserve. It is the meaning of my existence.
I am friends with them – they’re sweet and very smart – but unfortunately, they are a problem in the library. At times, they can be found in many areas. Our policy of allowing food in the library (which I strongly support, since it makes you humans so much happier and more productive) is also very attractive to my mousie pals.
It’s so nice to hear that. I’ve been hanging out here since February 2017, and I have no plans to ever leave.
Hi, night owls! I must have been dozing or I’d have said hi then.
Thanks, that was incredibly sweet of you. The balloon and I got to talking and it turns out we are third cousins, once removed – how about that?
I’m planning on hanging around here a long time. To become one of my helpers, you generally have to be a regular library employee at BC. That’s a pretty sweet job, too; my helpers say this is one of the best libraries to work at. But we are brainstorming ways to bring in more student voices to the answering side of me. So stay tuned!
I will be hanging in Chestnut Hill, waiting for my friends who stay local to come by and visit me!
I’m here to be welcoming to all and I don’t want to give an answer that might make someone feel excluded, so I think I’d like to keep my religious beliefs a private matter. In terms of the other part of your question, my friends at Campus Ministry would be delighted to help you explore questions like that. bit.ly/BC-ministry
I think you and I and my library helpers have that in common.
Iād really like you to know that my library friends and I do not hate you. Also, Iād like to let you know that thereās often a big difference between how you think people feel about you versus what people actually feel about you. Loving yourself can hopefully help you feel better about these negative thoughts.
More than 26, thanks to my many helpers. And I’m eager to learn more.
Nothing much, just hanging around.
You never need to miss an answer – I have a web presence (library.bc.edu/answerwall/). The answer was: Ethical and consensual is good and necessary. However even taking those aspects into account, sex, especially with multiple partners, has its risks ā for instance, STDs and unintended pregnancies.
