Why lose a friend just because they didn’t work as a romantic partner? I’d say, go with it, unless it doesn’t work out for one or both of you.
Tea or Coffee? V Important
Both are exceedingly important. The Global Commodities database, to which we subscribe, covers each as one of their only 15 major commodities (along with… opium and fur…). Coffee: bit.ly/GlobComCoffee Tea: bit.ly/GlobComTea

I am, too!
Why does the football coach make $3 mil?
Not gonna pick on the coach, but we, as a society, do a horrendous job at valuing people and paying them both for the importance of the work they do and the need for everyone to earn a living wage.
I am on financial aid and want to drop a class. What’s the minimum number of classes I have to take to retain my reward. I am taking 15 right now.
The short answer is: it is complicated and it depends (on your school, the type of aid your receive, etc.) For making an important decision like this it is vital to discuss with your financial aid advisor. You can walk into the Office of Student Services and set up an appointment.
I want to transfer for next semester. What are the steps I should take?
Transfer into BC or out of it? In either case (whether you are here or elsewhere), contacting your academic advisor would probably be the place to start. Best of luck!
I am in a history class where the professor assigns 200 pages of reading per week. Normally, I would just not do the readings but the exams are based solely on the readings and the whole class grade are the 2 midterms. What do I do?
History does have that reputation. I highly recommend Academic Coaching at the Connors Family Learning Center (bit.ly/BC-connors) to help you develop the skills to manage your time and read more efficiently.
What do i do if a person I used to be friends with and has ended on bad terms with has been spreading bad rumors about me?
I am so sorry you’re experiencing this! As you said, friends that do that are not real friends indeed. There are many friendly fish in the sea who will like and believe in the person you are today, and plenty of friendships still to be made. Focus on cultivating new friendships, and being kind to yourself during this time. However– for some literary distraction/dramatic catharsis, the Count of Monte Cristo knows all about being churned through the rumor mill… bit.ly/3ECvtC1
Why does the bus not go to upper?
I don’t know, but it gets quite close (McElroy) from 5pm to 2am. Here are all shuttle options: bit.ly/bctransp.
If you are able and up to the task, this is also true!
The group I wanted to join this year rejected me and picked someone else that they were already friends with that doesn’t deserve the spot. Nepotism sucks :(
Yes, it totally does. And the pretense that everything’s a meritocracy kinda makes it worse.
Sadly, yes.
best advice you could give to someone…
A wise friend reminds me from time to time that you are not your job or your grades or what you own or how much money you make or where you hang. You are valuable just for being you.
Why is the sky blue?
The atmosphere scatters sunlight, and blue scatters most because it’s high frequency.
Where can I get free money?
I hear that between the sofa cushions is the place to try.
Why BU is better than BC? NO
Not better or worse, but rather, two distinct universities with very similar names and green-line-straddling locations! While both offer exceptional opportunities to get educated and do research, the mission of each institution is unique.
What are best things to do in Boston this September?
There are a zillion lists like this online, but this is a pretty good one: https://bit.ly/bc-list. I also recently gave some advice on non-touristy things to do, and what a Boston bucket list would look like. Check those out in my online version: https://library.bc.edu/answerwall/
Does the middle seat own two armrests? (philosophically answer this pls)
I think this is a species of collective action problem, but how to resolve it would depend on whether you think your row-mates or the airline are the cause of the prisoner’s dilemma of modern air travel. https://bit.ly/3Z70gk0
Best Janelle Monáe song? Don’t say “Make Me Feel” pls. :)
I’m inclined towards an early, lesser-known song, “Sally Ride,” a tribute to the NASA astronaut for being the first American woman and first lgbtq person in space. She died the year before the release of the album on which the song appears, so I think it’s a kind of eulogy.
We never go out of style!
Yes, OK, but if he picks you up and the headlights are out, please don’t drive with him. I worry about you!
1989 TV?
So exciting! I can’t wait to see who might collab on some vault songs 👀
