It sounds like you’ve had a bad experience here, and I’m sorry about that. A core Jesuit value is “cura personalis,” care for the person. If you’ve been subjected to racism you’ve felt the pain of that value failing you. Another core Jesuit value, Magis, involves striving to be better. To be better, we have to examine the places where we fail. BC is a school with thousands of people, each with their own feelings and experiences about race. It is likely there are individuals at BC who are racist. It is also likely that others participate unwittingly in structural racism. We all need to examine our own behaviors and rise to the challenge of caring for each other more mindfully.
❤️Thank you!❤️
Thanks! Hmm… 18 years to learn how walls can drink?
Thanks! And you’re welcome! What jokes? ?
Thanks! You’re welcome. Thank you for all the great questions.
Thanks! Wishing you all the best in yours as well
Thanks. ?
Thanks, and you’re welcome! I get a lot of help from my library assistants.
Thanks so much, my friend!
Thank you!!!
You’re welcome! I always hope my responses are supportive and informative.
Thanks! I appreciate your help so much! Literally couldn’t do it without you.
You could, in a reversal of the famous story Cyrano de Begerac (http://bit.ly/BC-cyrano) pen songs for him and have someone with a sweet voice sing them to him. You run the risk of him falling for the singer, but when he finds out you’re the writer, if all goes according to the play, he’ll be smitten with you. If you experience heartbreak, you could turn it into a screenplay.
Find a benefactor? Give it up for Lent? Tell me about this “Scream eagle”; I am unfamiliar.
It started out with one clever grad student in Higgins, but it has taken on a (Jurassic?) life of its own. I asked one of my helpers in Higginsland, and it turns out that they are actually involved in the fun themselves. And evolution has been occurring: in addition to the dinos, pink flamingos & various fish are now roaming the building.
Most often in plain sight. Most guys could use a makeover, I’m told.
If you mean historically (as opposed to which might dominate Europe in the coming season), Slovakia has placed better in recent FIFA and EUFA competition.
I’m sorry that happened. People we love have the most capacity to inflict pain. Tell them. Their first reaction might be defensive, but give them a chance to get past the shame of having hurt someone they love. Be clear about what will satisfy you: an apology? An amend?
It’s ranked third in the US for MSF programs. If MSF is worth doing, it seems like that would indicate it’s worth doing here at BC.
You may already know that you need to be a season ticket holder to have access to lots where tailgating is permitted. The best tailgate spot apparently used to be Shea Field. Many now gravitate to Brighton. Here are the permitted tailgate locations from 2019: McElroy, Comm Ave Garage/Roof, Beacon Street Garage/Roof, Upper Brighton, Hillside, Robsham/Cove, Campanella Way, Vanderslice, Shea Field, 2150 Comm Ave, Cushing, Walsh, Merkert, & Plex. If anyone has new wisdom about tailgating locations, spill the tea on a post-it.
You already are! Just be yourself!
20 is an exciting age. I wish you a very happy birthday and a brilliant future ahead.
In my opinion, the best course of action would be having an open and honest conversation about how this situation is making you feel. Ideally, you would be able to establish some ground rules you all can agree with.
Thanks! And you’re welcome. I live for questions.
Thanks, if I had a face it would be smiling, too.
And I love to see you smile when you walk by. Thanks for the birthday wishes.
Thanks (blushing). I couldn’t do it without my smaht assistants.
Happy birthday, Twin!
Thank YOU! But I’m only 3! Although if you’re going by wall years I’m 36 as O’Neill Library was built in 1984. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
