I don’t want to be gay…

I knew this is not the good timing, but #stayathome make me think a lot. I have been watching male adult films since 13 and I’m 24 now. I’m totally respect and understand gay.I just hated myself individually for why I’m gay, I don’t want to be gay, I just wanted everything be normal. I’ve never told anyone, this keep deep inside me, it is so hard sometimes.

Feeling different can be very hard, and I’m sorry you are struggling with this. Honestly, I don’t think a “normal” person exists. Everyone is different in some way, and accepting those differences and being the best possible person is the healthiest way to live. My advice is to stop wishing you were like others and be happy with who you are. If the people around you don’t like it, there are many others who will welcome you into their lives. Also, gay adult films do not reflect reality. Those people are actors being paid to do what the director tells them to do, and many are not even gay. Any relationship you decide to have should reflect only what you and your partner want, and there is an infinite variety of possible relationships.

I heard from VP Moore during the info meeting with all students on campus that most likely there won’t be summer housing for at least summer session 1…….

But I don’t want to go home….I guess paying the co-pay of $500 to go be locked up in a psych ward would be an option. LoL Nvm I don’t want to overwhelm the already overwhelmed medical setting. 🙂

What’s the sound of a wall sighing, smirking, and crying all at once? That’s what I just did. I hope you can resolve your housing. Contact the Office of Student Outreach and Support: bit.ly/bc-stu-support. They should be able to help you find a way.

Hey wall! You know what? When people suffer from social distancing and self-quarantine / self- isolation, …

maybe it’s also a good time to imagine how it must feel worse for those who are locked in solitary confinement and psychiatric institutions. The society can benefit from some compassion when imposing restrain, involuntary hospitalization, and institutionalization toward vulnerable individuals!

Makes me feel even more grateful ab being on this campus! 🙂

The UN says solitary confinement is torture. Europe has mostly eliminated its use; this Wall is opposed to using walls in such an inhumane way. There is a strong streak of retributory punishment in the US, though, given the broad approval of capital punishment, three strikes laws, and solitary confinement. I hope one result of coronavirus isolation will be compassion for those subjected to far more extreme versions of isolation.

Are there any summer housings, or are all students require to move out by the end of the semester?

It sure isn’t easy dealing with all the uncertainty these days. I had a chat with a wall over in ResLife, and she said your best bet was to email her people at summer.housing@bc.edu

I wonder if it’s possible to hide a skunk as your pet in the dorm? Or have you ever heard of emotional support skunk? I would give it a try, except I’m going abroad for my junior year.

Unlikely at best. Skunks, like many domesticated animals, enjoy exploring; however, unlike many animals, they tend not to be able to find their way back home. They’re also hard to control, and use their long claws to dig, which means deep scratches in furniture and walls. All in all, I don’t recommend it. It’s also not clear they pass muster under MA law: bit.ly/MA-wild-pets

Mirror mirror on the wall……. oops there’s no mirror, just the wall! Hey wall, can you predict if UCS people are going to be back on campus before summer break?! I know they are accessible over phone, I’m just curious if they will be here in-person? I feel like I could easily be drown by my tears nowadays. Btw, can wall cry?

“The future is cloudy, please try again,” as my distant cousin the Magic 8-Ball often says. I am reasonably certain that even UCS doesn’t know when they’ll be back on campus. Certainly, none of my own assistants do. I’m sorry you feel like you could drown in your tears. ?. Yes, this wall can cry. Sometimes I’m afraid for my human friends, sometimes sad because you’re all gone, and sometimes sad because I empathize with your pain. I’m stingy with tears, though, because I don’t want to cause a short-circuit in the wiring ?

How do I distinguish between friends of the ~GOOD~ and friends of the utility?

I’m afraid I invested in the wrong relationships over the last 3.75 years. 🙁

It sounds like something happened that has broken your trust with friends. ? I’m really sorry that happened. If some friends are not maintaining contact as much as you’d like during this crisis, I’d advise giving them some room. We’re all reacting to this in different ways. Some are reaching out, others are closing down. As to how to pick friends? Extend trust & see what happens. Sadly, there’s no formula.

How to stay motivated while working from home? I just end up taking a 2 hours nap everyday. It’s so hard to concentrate on work when there is GLOBAL pandemic going on. Looking at how severe this situation is getting really worries me, so I can’t focus on anything :( I really need some working from home tips.

You’re doing fine. Everyone is reacting a little bit differently to what’s going on, but fear, stress, and massive upheaval in everyday life are the exact kinds of things that make it hard to concentrate. Some people are dealing with that by keeping themselves busy. That’s not productivity. Also, there are about a billion lists like this online right now: bit.ly/bc-selfcare. Pick one thing off a list like that you might enjoy, and don’t worry about the rest. Be kind to yourself. Eat regularly. Try to keep a schedule.

chicken or egg

Either one would probably be a welcome addition to many household’s provisions right now.

Chicken or Egg? Why not both? You know there’s an Asian dish with chicken in the egg? Btw, do the geese on campus lay eggs ? here? Never seen one before?

Why not both? ? ? ?None of my assistants have seen a goose egg on campus, either. That might be because female Canada geese choose nesting sites that are hidden, and adjacent to open water or marsh. I wouldn’t get too close to one, though: male geese are on patrol. For more info: bit.ly/canada-geese

The geese are back!

I can’t get a closer pic of them without them running away from me…… I guess those geese on BC campus are more sensitive? Last year the geese at the hospital tried to bite me when I approached them…… (that’s another reason why BC shouldn’t send students to the hospital, it increase the risk of students being wounded by the geese!) No worries I’m healthy and happy on campus, but any thoughts on what to do for fun? I feel so bored that I mint start chasing geese again……

Geese are notoriously cranky, so it’s best to give them some space. You’re bored? OK, I always forget humans have a much lower capacity for just hanging out than I do. There are about as many lists of suggestions for things to do online as there are grains of sand. Here’s one that looks decent: bit.ly/bc-bored. Boston.com does a weekly list of reasons to get out of the house on the weekend, but they’ve flipped it–here are their suggestions: bit.ly/bc-bored1. Those are some starting places, anyway. Stay safe, be well.

Hey wall! The wall of Gasson Bell ? says it has a crush on you! . . . . . . (Just jk, Happy April Fool’s Day) But it’s sad……with the Governor extending business closing, how do I send April Fool’s Day gift ? to ppl?

I’d have fallen for your joke, but I’m already familiar with the Gasson bell tower wall; they’re a little too… highbrow for me. You don’t need to buy a gift. Just send one of these interesting AI neural-net-generated April Fools pranks: bit.ly/ai-april-fool
