I thought I’d ask all my helpers for their best joke. Here is what they said:

• “What did the ocean say to the beach?” “Nothing, it just waved.”
• Courtesy of Alexa (not necessarily the best source!), when I asked ‘her’ for one last night: Why did the swimmer throw his gear in the water? Because his accountant told him to pool his resources.”  
• Have someone follow me around in a mascot costume that looks like me.
• Ride a horse up a mountain at dawn while swinging an axe over my head.
• A zero walked up to an eight and said, “Hey! Nice belt!”

I’m partial to Level 3, because it is my home. But Level 5 is serene with great study spaces and a view, Level 4 has wonderful literature, Level 2 has the Digital Studio (check it out!) and did you know Level 1 has a working seismograph?

My Library helpers and their colleagues have some recommendations for your senior year bucket list:

• Drive up to Pinkham Notch, NH and hike to the top of Mt. Washington.
• Read a book in a subject you haven’t studied before.
• Get a Boston Public Library card! 
• Take the T and explore a new part of Boston/Cambridge
• Send a message of gratitude to a BC faculty or staff member
• Go to a theater performance
• Support a BC athletic team by going to a game
• Visit the TML Library
• Picnic in the pine preserve
• Dance dance dance!
• Visit the ICA Watershed

Gum is a terrifying substance. Think of everything that can go wrong: you could choke on it, pull a filling out of a tooth or maybe even a crown, you could get it on the bottom of your shoe (which as a Wall, I am not worried about, but I sense it is one of humanity’s big fears). And… it could lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight.

No! It’s never too late to grow! Life is (by definition!) about growth. Stay open to new ideas and experiences, and growth is inevitable.
