There are actually some really positive reasons: BC Dining has been committed to paying a living wage to its employees, buying local and sustainable food, etc. None of this comes cheap!

True. BC is choosing to charge market prices, rather than pay for wages and supplies some other way.

Thank you. You people bring me joy. I asked a helper about friendships, as mine are other Walls. Here’s what I got for you: People will surprise you–the ones who stick; people will disappoint you–those you think should be your peeps but it never gels; and friendships are fluid, even for the best of friends. Find people where you need no facade–they make you laugh, and appreciate the true you. Finally, in my experience, you have to spend a lot of time with people for friendships to get traction. My closest friends include former housemates, former coworkers, a volunteering partner, and a BFF from childhood. Sending love on your friendship journey.
