Follow up question: Thank you! By Columbia College I meant the one in NYC. My question was not how to apply but how to be accepted. Thanks!

It’s a highly competitive process, with an acceptance rate in the single digits. There is no guaranteed way to be accepted. Your grades and test scores are what they are, so the parts you can work on include making sure your resume or list of activities is comprehensive, getting the best recommendations you can, and writing a truly remarkable personal statement. I wish you the best of luck! (But will miss you if you go.)

I don’t think I fit in this institution in terms of both intelligence and academics. no matter how hard I try I still feel like trash compared to others. Should I withdraw from the university?

I’m very sad you are so down on yourself. There will always be people who are – or who appear to be – smarter, better at everything etc. I suggest you talk to your academic advisor, and also perhaps to University Counseling (bit.ly/BC-counseling) before you make any decisions about leaving.

It’s possible, but not easy. “Boston College undergraduate students may apply for internal transfer to the Carroll School of Management for the spring of their sophomore year. The Carroll School accepts a very small number of internal transfer students via a lottery process.” See full details at bit.ly/CSOMtransfer
