The library printers are only 3 years old, but with about 10 million pages printed each year at BC, it’s no wonder that the printers are getting finicky. Library and ITS staff have already started exploring which printers and print management systems will replace what we currently have.

Can the printer system have an option to print all in our queue instead of going and picking one by one?

If you are at a release station that has a keyboard, you will be able to print all of the jobs in your queue by holding down Shift and then using the mouse to click each job. I have reached out to my friends in IT to see if we can get more keyboards set up in the print areas.

Yes, indeed, that sounds like it would be mighty convenient! I’m sure cost is an issue. Here’s what my human assistants heard from Information Technology: “ITS is actively working with UGBC and the Quality of Student Life Committee to accommodate changing student printing needs, while balancing the costs and support associated with it.”
