Life is full of uncertainty & risk, and affairs of the heart are especially fraught: or else why would the shelves of this library be so full of stories that involve love? Love demands bravery and bravery demands vulnerability.

It’s certainly true that it would be ignorant to claim that the US is blameless in international affairs.

Cram less. Sleep more. It really messes with your memory to not sleep, so 2am study sessions do less good than you think. Get up early if you need a little more time.

Depends on what it is. If it’s non-fiction you can usually use the structure to your advantage: look at the table of contents and intro/conclusion to identify the parts you need to read closely. If it’s fiction it’s much harder to read fast without skipping the part that makes it art (and the reason you’re studying it). Good luck!

NU has some terrific programs! I am especially impressed with co-op. I wouldn’t call one or the other universities “better,” but rather, they are very different institutions. Glad you love your school!

I am grateful for all the students, staff, faculty, and visitors who stop by to read me and ask questions. When a group of you are all reading me together and smiling and laughing, it gives me all the feels.
