Yes! Great way to reduce stress and clear your mind as we approach the end of the semester. Pro tip: hot tub in the aquatics center after your work out.

Answering questions at Boston College O’Neill Library

It really very heavily depends on the context. There are lots of reasons why people might find you off-putting, some of which are under your control and some of which aren’t. Take a look at the things that are, and decide if this group of people is worth making adjustments for.

It is not a sure thing for anyone; BC needs to turn away so many students who are qualified and would make great eagles. I do hope you get accepted (but don’t despair; my helpers tell me that many did not get into their 1st choice, but had wonderful college experiences.)

I am not a poet, however many others who are have written poems you might like. Take a look at Seamus Heaney’s “Scaffolding,” Joy Harjo’s “For Keeps,” and Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s “How Do I Love Thee?” And maybe, if none of these are quite what you want, you could write the poem you’re hoping for.

That sounds like a research question! There’s a research guide for US History that could be a useful starting point: https://libguides.bc.edu/ushistory. And the Reference Desk just across the lobby is staffed by librarians who can also help you answer this question.

I haven’t seen them. If you lost them in O’Neill, check the user services desk; they have a lost & found. No, but seriously, I’m sorry you lost your marbles.I hope you have some methods for regaining calm. If not, may I recommend a wellness coach? bit.ly/BC-wellness-coach

Sigh… it’s true, it’s harder to find time to see people when you work a 9-5, but you can make them a priority during weekend and vacation time. It helps if your family and some old friends are in the same geographic area: stay with family & arrange to see friends. It also helps if people are within easy driving distance, making weekend visits practical.
