Hello! Pleased to meet you!
Answering questions at Boston College O’Neill Library
Beautiful! Thank you for introducing me to a lovely poem and a poet I was unfamiliar with. I look forward to reading more of Nizar Qabbani’s work. We have several books in our collection in O’Neill at call number PJ7858.A2.
Though Thanksgiving is primarily a family holiday (and for some, “Friendsgiving”), many restaurants do feature special Thanksgiving dinners. If you can’t score an invitation with friends or a family of a friend, here’s a list of Boston area restaurants hosting Thanksgiving dinners: bit.ly/boston-restaurants-thanksgiving2021
I’m well, thank you! I love where I live, but I’ll also quote Louis Pasteur: “Science knows no country, because knowledge belongs to humanity, and is the torch which illuminates the world. Science is the highest personification of the nation because that nation will remain the first which carries the furthest the works of thought and intelligence.”
Thank you! Any day with more questions to ponder is a wonderful day. I hope the same for you.

There are cold, dark parts & times and warm, sunny parts & times. I’m sorry you’re experiencing the cold & dark. If this is literally about winter… sigh, yes. The days are short and cold, and I feel the chill in the lobby as the doors open, and miss the evening summer sun. If this is metaphorical, and you’re emotionally in a cold, dark place, consider contacting BC Counseling Services (bit.ly/BC-counseling), who can help you see that these states are temporary, and/or refer you to more help if you need it.
