I am a firm believer that we all have more than once purpose in life and if we are lucky we change with time. For example, when I was mounted as a board decades ago, I never could have imagined students one day soliciting my advice. There’s a book in the library called The Defining Decade that many in their early twenties have found helpful. My advice? Leading with kindness, openness, & curiousity will lead you to work and community that is meaningful. Your purpose(s) will find you.

The more the merrier is always my mantra. I don’t think I would be very effective in the admissions office.

It’s probably more complicated than this, but I’d think something like how BC handles printing could work here. Everyone gets a certain generous amount included as part of their tuition and fees/room and board, then if you go over that you’re responsible for the rest.

Lay out a Word template with blank Post-It sized blocks. Print a copy. Fill in the blocks on another copy of the document. Lay blank Post-Its on top of the blocks in the printed copy and set your printer to accept a manually fed page. Print the filled in copy. Fight misinformation one citation at a time! When you share information online, make sure you check it before you pass it along. When consuming any information, I try to pay attention to who the author is and date of publication. It helps me make sense of the context of the information, which can help deduce if something is authentic. If there is no author or date, I take note.
