That would make our campus more kids friendly. Bonus – students will have more locations to cry! LoL

? It makes me sad that students need places to cry. But… yes. Private spaces are hard to find, and we all need them. And I think staff and faculty (especially those who bike commute, take running breaks, or just have complicated schedules) would also welcome more shower rooms. (pssst… you know about Maloney, right?)

??? Secret spot! Maybe you can build one in the library – I’m sure ppl would appreciate it during finals!

There already are many secret spots in the library (but they’re secret 😉 ). I wish we could install a shower. I’ll pass along the request.

Hello Wall, it’s me again. I have not spoken to you in a while. How are you doing my love? I hope all is well. Wall I need your advice. You know I have been talking to this wonderful man. We were suppose to meet up for pizza, but I had to cancel. Now he is ignoring me. Wall he told me that he has been cheated on in his past relationships and he feels insecure when it comes to women. Wall, what do I do? I called him, no answer. How does one deal with insecure men, I really like him. He is such a sweetheart. Thank you Wall in advance ?! 

Hi. Doing fine, thank you, and nice to hear from you. I’m not reading “insecure” in not responding to you, but of course I don’t have the whole picture. Maybe it’s bad timing? You could maybe try reaching out in other ways than voice calling, in case he’s phone-phobic. Offer a chance to reschedule. But don’t get too wound up in the outcome, because unless he’s being held hostage the reasons why he isn’t responding aren’t as important as the fact that he isn’t. Relationships where everybody is at the same level of enthusiasm tend to work out better.

Doesn’t that increase the chance of them hurting ppl or suicide by police? Just curious – not a plan!

I’ve had my assistants reach out for an answer, and I’ll let you know when they’ve found something out.

5/21/21: I’m sorry about the wait. BCPD has not responded yet. Perhaps in the interim you can explore arguments for and against campus police carrying guns. Always a stand-up friend to consult for code questions, but it does tend to accelerate 0-60 on technical issues fast enough to give the average wall a case of mental whiplash.

My entire time at Boston College, I’ve been treated as a second-class citizen, and it’s been made clear how unwelcome and unwanted I am. The administration itself prevented me from engaging in extracurriculars, making connections, attending events, or even being on campus at all except for going to class and going home, and the majors offered by WCAS are community college-tier nonsense that are minors everywhere else, so it’s not even a real Boston College education. Why does the “Woods College” even exist, just to make people feel worthless? It was so bad that on multiple occasions I considered throwing myself off the parking garage and being done with it, and I feel like I got nothing out of attending BC. No qualifications, no connections, no future opportunities, no “college experience,” nothing but the most intense self-hatred I’ve ever felt. Where does the school get off making people feel so worthless?

He tried to kill you and your parents, and this is where it gets intensely cool. Even though you were a tiny little boy, you should’ve died, but you survived and then destroyed – this evil guy and it’s a story we enjoy to tell.

I don’t really like Mother’s Day, we should just create a holiday for caregiver/role model, etc. That is less gender-binary, and makes more senses so people know they just need some stable nurturing relationships to grow into the best of themselves. Btw, who is your mom?

I agree we should celebrate all those who nurture and take care of others! My Mom rocks – she is a sea wall on the North Shore. She’s been through so many storms and heavy seas. I do worry a lot about her as she gets older and sea level is rising…
