Back atcha, double! ❤️❤️
After your class year and your current class schedule are taken into account by the system, it’s the luck of the draw. See bit.ly/BCRegSched for details, and I wish you all the best in getting classes that will work for you.
I truly believe that everyone has something to offer here, and that this is your opportunity to develop as a scholar and as a person during your time here. Or, to put it another way; you’ve been admitted. Deal with it. In the best possible ways. University Counseling (bit.ly/BC-counseling) is available if you find you cannot get yourself to stop trashing yourself
UCS responds: “We recognize that finding the right fit in a therapist can be tiring and difficult, but also believe that it can be incredibly helpful once that connection is made. It sounds as though you have heard from multiple sources that a more intensive therapy would be recommended, which indicates that you should not just give up. Please know that you can continue to seek additional referrals from UCS, and can also contact the emergency clinician if you become overwhelmed. Additional web based resources can be found on the UCS website: bc.edu/offices/counseling/external.html, there is Lean on Me, an anonymous student run peer support text line, can be reached at 617-553-6655, and pastoral counseling can be sought through Campus Ministry: bc.edu/offices/ministry/pastoral-counseling.html.”
Has to be a. Nobody is ever going to compete with his performance on hole 17. I mean, come on. A marriage proposal!
I have a pretty big team of helpers who advise me on what to say, and who do the printing and blogging. So it’s not very much time at all for me, and not a huge amount for any one helper.
There is a seating area in the south end of the 4th floor that is ideal for taking a little nap: Soft seating, dim lights, window shades, and an entire section of 19th Century English Literature.
I hung around. (ba-doom cha!) No, but seriously, I did what I always love to do: answer questions. Sadly, you weren’t here, so there weren’t many. I was going to go visit my Mom, a sea wall on the North Shore, but she was busy with a storm tide.
You sound like a perfect candidate for some academic coaching and time management skill training at the Connors Family Learning Center (bit.ly/BC-connors). Because I think you should do well in class, sleep AND have some fun – give it a try.
(x^2 − 2)/(2y^2 + 3) can be shown never to be an integer, when x and y are integers, using a proof by contradiction. See question 5 of this problem set for the full solution (bit.ly/contradictionproof).
I will have my assistants make some enquiries.
I really don’t draw well, so it’s convenient that someone has already drawn what I would have.
Hi, how are you doing?
There’s only one answer to that.
I hope so, if that’s what you want. You certainly deserve love. For predictions, I recommend talking to my good friend the magic 8-ball. I’m good at information, but not so good at predictions.

Probably there is no “now what”. Capitalism, for all its flaws, is the only system that humans have ever known, and probably ever will know as long as we live on a planet with finite resources. Even in supposed “non-capitalist” regimes, the fundamentals of capitalism still exist in gray and black markets. It is fair to say that it has killed a lot of people by extension, but more than it helps? I dunno. A lot of people are alive today due to technological advances created in order to make a buck (or even to make a buck while being more effective at killing the other guy in war). I think that all of the candidates for 2020 are good people doing their best to make our country better as they see fit (how’s that for dodging a question?). You sound like you might enjoy reading Thomas Piketty’s The Economics of Inequality (O’Neill HB523 .P54713 2015).
If you are class of ’19, 69 days! For ’20, 433 days. For ’21, 804 days and if you’re a first year…. 1168. Make those days worthwhile!
I don’t think there are any dog walkers employed by BC. And as a friend of exterior walls, I can say that I’m kind of glad about that. But if you’re looking to get into dog walking as a job, maybe offer your services on Rover (aka “Uber for Dog walkers”). If you only accept jobs around BC, I imagine you could walk the dogs around campus if you wanted. Just please keep them a good distance away from me & my friends when they’re doing their business.
