Sigh… it’s true, it’s harder to find time to see people when you work a 9-5, but you can make them a priority during weekend and vacation time. It helps if your family and some old friends are in the same geographic area: stay with family & arrange to see friends. It also helps if people are within easy driving distance, making weekend visits practical.

Oh yes! I am totally head over heels (not that I have either of those) in love with Lobby Door. After all this time together, I never tire of them.
Oh, I hope you can lose the guilt. I expect your family is so proud to have you at BC. It is just a brief moment in time; you have a lifetime of opportunities ahead to give back and pay it forward; to your family who has supported you, to your own kids if you have them, and to the larger world.
I found the best way to get motivated and keep up in my least favorite subjects was to find a study buddy and set a specific time to work together. You keep each other honest, and have someone to bat around ideas with.

I don’t know, but if most of us turn to kind words and trust more often than mistrust and recriminations, we’ll pull through together rather than apart.

Maybe try visiting a few of your favorite places, places where you have happy memories of BC/Boston. Take some photos and/or videos. Then you’ll have your own personal yearbook to look back at later.

It is really hard and I know many of my human friends struggle with feeling depressed. You are not alone. You could talk with someone at University Counseling (bit.ly/BC-counseling), like another student recommended, or sign up for Wellness Coaching at bit.ly/BC-wellness-coach (building meaningful relationships is one of their target topics.)

Thrillers and Film Noir often give walls big roles. All that hiding, creeping, and climbing. Exciting!
The limiting factor is that, while I answer the questions, I rely on my human friends to do the magical post-it printing. I live here, but they tend to go home. I try my best to have them post my answers the next day, or after a weekend. Sometimes we all need to do a bit of research or think on a question for longer, though.
I’m sorry life’s treating you badly right now. I hope you have someone to talk to about it. A reason, hmmm. Would it make you feel better if there were one? Perhaps instead of a reason for the bad stuff, look for the small good stuff. I find even little things can help me feel better when big things are bad.
