It could be a variety of reasons (your socks, the material in your shoes (no plastic!), or not rotating your shoes frequently enough). Try using a tea tree oil body wash on your feet. I’ve heard it can do wonders.
Do you like to wear/can afford Supreme clothing? Then Yeezys are for you. But there’s no denying that they’re basically the pinnacle of hype beast culture, which means they’ll be relevant for 12(?) months at most. In Boston, if you bought Yeezys now, you wouldn’t even be able to wear them until May. I’m not sure when the next iteration of Yeezys will drop, but you might be already behind the curve by that point. If you’re into streetwear, there are better options out there that have more staying power. Depending on your sub-culture, check out Allbirds (casual), Converse chucks high/low tops (casual), Jordans (sneakerhead), Vans (skater), etc.
It broke and will be replaced. No worries, the space-time continuum continues unruptured.
The Wall has a healthy dose of skepticism about that. Always keep in mind that all you need for a conspiracy theory is a way to link disparate facts (or sometimes convincing fictions) and a narrative that adds agency. Most conspiracy theories are random facts glued together with motivated reasoning. Many people have a stake in perceiving Epstein’s death as homicide, and most of the reported facts of the case don’t support that claim. bit.ly/AP-epstein-conspiracy
If you trust your friends and they are encouraging you, the shot is probably not as risky as it seems. It may help to lower your expectations of success- that can help you view a small forward step as a success rather than a falling short of your shot.
안녕! I don’t have much of a voice… in fact I don’t have a voice at all. But I can provide a link to a song from a few years ago that I like: bit.ly/four-walls
My condolences! You could try Degrassi Junior High if you’d like some Canadian tips. Freaks & Geeks worked well for lots of 80s kids.
Campbell is unfortunately not on the list for this fall, but our doggo visitors have complicated schedules. Or perhaps Campbell is taking a much-needed break.
Sorry it’s not working! “Students with roommate concerns should first speak with their Resident Assistant, who will work with them to mediate roommate conflicts. If the mediation process is not successful, students should then speak with their Resident Director, who will evaluate the situation to determine if a room change is necessary and, if so, assist students with that process.” bit.ly/BCHousingProb
Silence in the library 😉
It’s possible it’s a cultural or style issue. Spend a while observing how Americans initiate conversations, and note especially what stands out to you as unfamiliar or strange. Try one or two of those behaviors & see what happens. You could even do it jokingly: hey, I’m going to pretend I’m American, tell me what you think. It could also be a question of shared interests and knowledge. You could watch a film or TV show or sporting event that many people have seen and start by talking about that.
How can there ever be enough doggos? I’m crazy about those fuzzy guys. Good news is, they’re on the way, very soon. Check out www.facebook.com/ONeillLibrary/ for details!
For a Monday, pretty brilliant. As you can see, I’m in my element, with lots of visitors and so many questions. I hope you are having a great day, too.
The Schiller Institute is being constructed right now, and it will include space for Engineering. A new student center is part of the campus master plan, but there are no dates set for the design and construction. New housing is not currently on the campus master plan. However, overall infrastructure needs are continually reviewed, and the plan is updated if priorities change.
Normally, it is not okay. It can be perceived as rude and thoughtless. There are instances, however, when this is acceptable, particularly in cases where you cannot trust the other person or fear for your safety.
It’s hard to watch people spend money on what seems frivolous when you’re strapped for cash. If you want to make sure BC is spending money wisely while students experience food insecurity, take a look at the BC Factbook, research food insecurity (bit.ly/campus-food-insecurity), and bring your concerns to a wider audience – maybe a letter to the editor (or article) at the Eagle or Gavel or perhaps a report to the UGBC.
Don’t worry, many adults also have a hard time navigating relationships, too. One way to make relationships less ambiguous and confusing is to talk openly about expectations with your partner. If that kind of conversation is new to both of you, take it slow, and expect some initial awkwardness. But it’s ultimately always better for a couple to be open with each other than to leave their hearts (and plans) hidden from each other.
That’s kinda dark, but it is that time of the semester. Soon we can all hibernate for a bit, and maybe problems will go south for the winter.
