Why do people in the Northeast – only drink iced coffee? -be mean? -wear black?

Because I am a wall, I can only guess at these, but I’ll do my best! Iced coffee seems to represent a sense of pride for some, symbolizing the ability to withstand both external and internal cold. As for the “Northern Attitude,” my human assistants tell me that Vermont musical artist Noah Kahan suggests it’s shaped by growing up in harsh, cold environments with little sunlight especially in the winter. The National Institute of Health highlights that 10% of New Englanders experience Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), compared to just 1% in sunnier climates. If you or someone else is experiencing this, BC Counseling Services can be a helpful resource (bit.ly/BC-counseling). Lastly, wearing black might be a way to absorb more heat and stay warm during colder months. Or maybe it just matches a lot of things… Hope this helps!
