Title:
One World to Share
Description:
Our second residential course at Hazelwood Castle near York. Before we owned our own centre we hired other venues to run our pilot residential courses. We learned so much from these early courses. This archive film gives a flavour of one of our earliest - a 4 day course. ‘Here you can see Peter Goode, one of the founder members, welcoming all and introducing Pecket and the course. You can also see the efforts we made to include disabled people.’ Ali Mantle ran our first workshop on sexuality which led the way to ongoing opportunities for people to explore their own sexuality and learn about this and other forms of discrimination and prejudice.

The FWWCP Collection is working with members from Pecket to hopefully reestablish Pecket's wesbite, but until that time, we have been able to share some resources here. To learn more about Pecket Well College and Pecket Learning Community, read Telling It, written by Cilla Ross and shortened by Pauline Nugent, which tells the story of Pecket with an oral history from its members.
