- The Hole in the Wall
- Description:
- The ‘Hole in the Wall’ cash machine. Florence Agbah was born in Ghana. She was involved in a tragic accident as a child and her family moved to a different area in Ghana where people spoke another language. There was no local school so Florence was not taught to read or write. By the time her parents found a school that would take her they decided that she was too old to learn. This decision has affected Florence’s whole life. Like others who cannot read and write, daily living and everyday tasks are very hard for Florence – including the problems of trying to get money out of her own bank account. In this filmed interview, Florence explains how this makes her feel.
