Federation Magazine Volume 15 "What Does Reading Mean to You?" Item Info

Title:
Federation Magazine Volume 15 "What Does Reading Mean to You?"
Description:
FEDeration Magazine volume 15 focuses primarily on the topic of readership among members of the FWWCP, and subscribers to the periodical. The opening story highlights the Yorkshire Art Circus, who won the Raymond Williams Community Publishing Prize, thereby bringing more funding and legitimacy to publishers focusing on community literacy. After an update on the Hand in Hand workshop mentioned in the previous issue, the magazine features several stories connecting reading with community writing, as inspired by the distinction ‘National Year of Reading.’ The blurbs follow contributors as they recount books that impacted their literacies. The issue features reviews, promotions for upcoming courses and events available for FED Mag readers, advertisements for forthcoming publications. The magazine also launches a “reciprocal membership” program where Fed members will have access to training, festivals, and performances put on by a reciprocal member group. This issue also features a list of groups under the FWWCP umbrella, with addresses and contact information.
