- That’s What Friends Are For is a collection of diverse and original short stories and poems by various participants of a weekend writing workshop at Lodge Hill, West Sussex. The works fall into four main categories corresponding to the workshop themes: autobiography, writing plays, finding inspiration, and stories from life. From these prompts, the works discuss new friendships, immigration, and childhood memories, among other topics. For many authors, this is the first time their work has been published.
