- Sidelines is a collection of poems written by Hilda Cotterill, who left school at the age of 14. Despite her lack of a formal education, Cotterill was an avid reader and writer and many of her works have been published and broadcasted. This collection, in specific, is the eighth in a series that features new writers from the South Yorkshire and North Midlands areas. Poems in this collection range from topics of love and loss to exploring an outdoor market and the winter blues to family and faith.
