Drawings and Paintings
McKee’s artwork highlighted the artistic and literary legacy of Ireland. Many of her designs draw on early Celtic designs, such as those found in the Book of Kells and other early illuminated manuscripts. McKee’s drawings and paintings also frequently incorporate quotes from Irish writers or traditional Irish literary works.
