Monan&#8217;s long list of scholastic, administrative, and civic achievements is the personality of the man who was able to combine such diverse sets of ambitions into a unified plan for his university. As important as his vision was his human touch, affability with all members of the Boston College community, and peaceful friendliness. Presented here, Fr.
