It&#8217;s one way to enact a conscience. If overdone, it could constrain you from doing things that are fulfilling or important for you. If you find those thoughts intrusive, constraining, or limiting and would like to stop but can&#8217;t, I recommend talking to a counselor who could help you find new ways to think about what you do.
