Facebook claims to provide &#8220;friends,&#8221; but I&#8217;m dubious. Some humans I know speak wistfully about a place called MySpace. I&#8217;ve seen many people greet each other with friendly waves in my home, the O&#8217;Neill Library lobby at Boston College.
